Every human being has the gift of free will and choice. We have a mind that evaluates the information we take in and coupled with our emotional responses, we think and act. If we respond from the heart instead of just information and emotions, we include our values and principles in the choices we make. If we include the spirit as well, then we do nothing unless it is based on God's love. We make no choice that is not 'win win' for all involved. Sometimes God's love is 'tough love' or 'hard truth' and discipline is a part of love, and even righteous anger was displayed by Jesus, but every choice should always be for the best result for all.
Responsibility weighs heavy on us at times and we can feel pressured by others to make statements we can't back up with solid truth. It would be wiser to avoid those pitfalls and instead focus on reality. A lot of people mis-understand what reality is. Most of what we read or hear about history is biased toward what the writer's believed to be true but in actuality was intended to create a certian frame of mind in the readers. Especially in the political arena do we see this if we decide to research many resources. We should be very careful who we endorse or admire until we thoroughly search out all information available, the negative as well as the positive. Sometimes we want to believe something and disregard reality because it's much nicer to enjoy our illusion rather than face unpleasant facts. Depending on political agenda, either hidden or well known, most leaders or presidents have been given a guilded image in many degrees, especially when it comes to war hero's. There is nothing guilded or beautiful about war and those who propagate it. There is heroism in defending your country against invaders but none for the invader. When a country interferes in another country's affairs through warfare, claiming it is to help them find freedom, there is always a hidden agenda of wanting their resources. Somewhere in the background is greed and power. Otherwise they would join with other peaceful countries to negotiate and diplomatically and lawfully stop the trouble if someone was truly being abused. An enlightened person will never kill or in any way harm innocent people in order to save other people. "God shall not be mocked, whatsoever a man sows that shall he also reap". Justice is served by God who knows who the guilty truly are. "Jesus comes that we might have life and have it more abundantly. Satan comes to steal, kill and destroy." If we are aligned with Jesus, we believe, follow and advocate fulness of life in all its aspects for all people. Those who align with Satan steal (resources) kill (innocent people) and destroy(ruin and devastate lands and socities). In this time of judgment, we need to be very careful who we align ourselves with. We will be lifted up if we stand with those who believe in truth, honor and love. We will be torn down if we stand with those who follow death, power, lies and destruction. We are very much in a sowing and reaping process and God is no respector of persons. It is up to us to pray, research and learn what the real truth is before we speak or align our words or actions to any person or institution. The more responsibility we have, the more important it is for us to do this because we will be held responsible to the task given us in relation to others. If we guard our tongue and ask for wisdom, we will be given what to speak. It is honorable to appreciate and give respect to someone who helps us or is involved in a worthy cause, but it is not wise to praise anyone. Praise should be reserved for God only. Our words have power and other people who hear our words enhance that power by connecting them to us when they think of us. We must be sure before we speak that we want people to remember those words in connection with us. Satan can lead us into a trap causing trouble for us far into the future. We can be safe and secure if we place our trust in God and let him guide our words and actions. |
