A New Heart

...Gods ways are above the worlds ways. They are of a higher caliber.
...How do I know if my motivations are aligned with God's ways?
...Everything that is God's will for us is based on His living word.
...Why do we live outside of His will for us? Because our inner belief system is not in harmony with God's word. So when we make choices, they have no inner foundation and we have no power to carry them out. "A house devided against itself will not stand".
...So what we want is not what we get..or what we want on the outside (our mind) does not coincide with what we believe we will get on the inside (our heart). The heart always wins when it comes to faith. "A man's heart devises his way and the Lord directs His steps."
...However, our belief system is built on the idea of getting things from our mind into our inner belief system so we can have what we want. So we come up with ideas, goals and plans and try to create faith toward them in a deeper way so we can make them happen. But this is not the way it works.
...God is creating in us a new heart with the foundation of His principles and laws within. We follow these principles and laws because it is the desire of our hearts to be obedient and to share this life of love and healing with others. It is not our own works, which are always selfish in some way, but we rest from our works and let God do His plan through us.
...When our heart is true to the word of God for us in any area, we will respond with the resulting action in the physical world. but it has to become a reality in us, a true belief and knowing which is faith. When we surrender to Him, it is His work in us that makes us a vessel worthy of His use.
...There's no place in this work for our unrenewed mind to have a part but only our will aligned with God's will in a determined stand against Satan's lies. We are so full of words, words, words. We feel guilty about the past, worried about the future and unsure what to do right now. We have to still the mind, firmly place it on the altar and trust in God's plan for us
...We are afraid of God's complete will in our lives. He takes away our weak security blankets and sacred cows. He lets us see the truth, even just a little at a time, and we can hardly endure what we have been hiding so diligently from. When the illusion is undone in everything, there remains a responsibility from knowing this truth to do something to help the suffering world. It's like in the Matrix movie, the truth was a hard pill to swallow but once it was, there was no going back. We lived in a happy little world of our own making, believing God to be our benevolent provider as we danced along, closing our eyes to the suffering of humanity and the evil forces causing it. But when confronted with reality, what do we do? Do we come out of the dream or do we run and hide in our comfortable safety zones, denying the truth?
...Each of us on our spiritual journey will at some time reach the place of truth because that is what the journey is about. We will be responsible for our reactions to it. Sometimes we think truth is what we want it to be but truth is not from the meanderings of the mind. It is from the Spirit of God within and when we hear the truth we have a witness within that verifies it. "The mind is made for comprehending the truth." We can deny the Spirit of truth or we can surrender our false mind sets created by Satan's hold on society's worldly system and be cleansed from the lies. If we deny the Spirit of truth, it will only contend for so long and then let us have our will to retain the fleshly concepts. It is up to us whether we want to live in Spirit or flesh.
...God wants our heart, our will, our mind, our emotions, our motivations and everything of us and about us. He wants to renew everything in truth so we can be used for his purposes of love and healing. This calls for complete and total surrender of everything. He will settle for nothing less.
