Be detached from the things that happen to you in your life. If you want and need something strongly, it is easy for you to control to keep it. You become fearful of losing that what you need and want so much. If you don't want something and need for it to go, you try to leave or get away from it. You aren't just enjoying what you have at the moment. Quit judging and evaluating everything.
One day at a time, one moment at a time. Enjoy what you have, who you are with and what you are doing. Enjoy because you are the consciousness within the body you are using to experience life. So is the other or others who are enjoying with you. What a multiplied blessing to share together what each have alone. The Hindu view of detachment comes from the understanding of the nature of existence and the true ultimate state sought is that of being in the moment. While one is responsible and active, one does not worry about the past or future. The detachment is towards the result of ones actions rather than towards everything in life. "Cast your cares upon the Lord and He will sustain you". God is our security. We have everything we need and we are everything we need to be through Him so we don't have to worry about anything. |
