leaving the Illusion
When our actions are mostly being motivated by thoughts relating to external circumstances and the following emotions they create in us, we are not living our reality. We find ourselves being drawn into negative relationships and unpleasant situations in many areas of our lives because we are under the illusion that we have no control of what happens to us.
We forget that there is another aspect of ourselves that is very, very important. This is our 'will'. We have a soul, which consists of our mind, will and emotions. Our will is a gift from God. He created us in His image and instilled in us a free will to make choices and learn and grow. We are not robots programed to someone else's idea of what we should be or do but we act like we are when we give in to the world around us.
For a person to have a strong will and sense of self is an indication of a healthy personality not to be mistaken for a stubborn will which is actually an indication of an insecure or weak person. Also not to be mistaken for ego which expands in a selfish, fearful personality.
God isn't giving us another mind other than what we already have. When the illusions we live under are removed, the true mind is revealed. It has always been there but covered over by the lies and untruths we lived our lives by. Using our God empowered will is what brings our mind and emotions into proper use and establishes our renewed mind.
We 'set our will' according to what we 'know is true' and we make a firm resolve with strong assertive resolution or we will waver when opposition comes. Standing on Spiritual Scripture is so powerful because it is backed up by thousands of years of faith in the written truths. Connect that with what you know in your heart and your intuition and you have power in your choices and decisions that extend beyond the physical realm.
We should guard our 'will' carefully from control by any other human being. It is so personally ours, it is what brings everything into our lives. Without us setting our will to things, they won't happen. Even if someone is controlling us, we still have set our 'will' to let them. If bad things are happening to us, somehow, we are not using the power God gave us, but instead 'knowing' that what we don't want is real and we fall prey to it.
Just thinking about something won't bring it to pass unless we accept it, even illness comes to us that way. Someone visits us who has a cold and we just know they breathed their germs on us and we 'wil'l to let that cold come in when we think, "I feel tired and my throat is scratchy now. I know I'm getting their cold."
Evil can't touch us in any area of our lives unless we will to let it. We can feel guilty about something untrue said about us and we 'will' to let guilty feelings come in. We can feel bad about what someone says and 'will' to let in depression or feelings of rejection. It is our will that always establishes what happens or doesn't happen, even when this happens in our subconscious and we aren't aware. This is because at some point in our lives we have given ground in that area and we never took it back. Weakness is easily spotted by the enemy because it is always looked for ...especially with someone on their spiritual path.
Never surrender your will to anyone, ever, not to parents, friends, husband, wife, children, boss, lover or anybody else ... but only to God. When you surrender your will to Him, you become incorporated into the will of God Himself. Then you are His instrument to bring the Kingdom to earth. When you surrender your life to God, you are at rest and let life happen. When you have the inner knowing that something is right for you, you are fearless. You feel balanced and your energy is flowing positively.
All unbalance, dissention and disturbance of the mind and emotions is illusion. We believe the illusion and become part of the game it plays with us.
We don't need to focus on the games any more. Once we have control of our thoughts and thus our emotions they no longer control us. We can let go of the unbalanced and disharmonious feelings (in our abdominal area is where they settle mostly and make us feel uncomfortable).
Past is over and no longer exists except as we allow it to in our thoughts and memories. Focusing on the past creates the unpleasant feeling of guilt for our perceived failures or the heady feeling of pride for accomplishments. This pride mixed with the guilt of not wanting to repeat past failures, makes us strive to accomplish more and it also creates a need for competition to do it better than someone else. This need creates comparisons of ourselves with others and judgments that we are either better or not as good as them. All of this is illusion. The great game of life. These things keep us in the physical world of outer events as we strive to gain the success we think we need.
Focusing on the future creates fear of what may or may not happen. Future hasn't happened yet and we never know what it will ultimately bring therefore it is also illusion. As we plan, prepare and worry over the future, we lose the moment by moment existance of right now. We never appreciate what we already have but are always waiting for some future event to make us happy. We drag the past into the future by fearing that something bad that already happened might happen again...or the opposite, what we want to have happen again, might not.
"In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God. All things were made through him, and without him nothing was made that was made. In him was life and the life was the light of men." John 1:1-4
"...Therefore, the One whom you worship without knowing, Him I proclaim to you: 24 - God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. 25 - Nor is He worshiped with men's hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things. 26 - And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, 27 - so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; 28 - for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, 'For we are also His offspring.' 29 - Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by art and man's devising." Acts:17 23-29
We are children of God, thus we have his attributes. We have the spiritual DNA of God in our spiritual being. When we become the "word" just as Jesus did we create a new world to live in. It's within us and surrounds us and it is the same as the presence of God. We just have to let go of the illusion of the physical world to become aware of it.
"In him we live and move and have our being". In the spirit, our being is united with his being and we are one. We are physical in the body but are actually an expression of God in our higher consciousness. ...and all life forms in the world are an expression of the life-force or energy of God.
Our personal world and all that pertains to it is our being. When we can become aware of it also, all our worlds as human beings will unite. But to begin with, we have to become aware of the spiritual world within ourselves and to do that we must leave the physical world's illusions behind. As long as we are caught up in the games of desire and need we won't see the illusion and won't be able to experience the reality of the spiritual dimension.
We may enter the illusions of the many psychic dimensions but they are only lower energy planes created by our own unbalanced psychological plays and dramas of the ego. Some may even claim the higher forms of these dimensions as heavens or spiritual places but they are only part of the lower energy forms of existance which are all part of the grand illusion.
People in control of these forms are not spiritual. There is a ceiling to their growth potential which keeps them from realizing and existing in the spiritual dimension. Unless love is the pure intention of the being and the illusion of physical form is rejected, the spiritual realm will remain hidden.
There is no complicated mystery to unravel like many would want us to believe. All form is illusion including all the tremendous variety of religions throughout the illusory form of time. The truth is always simple so that even the little child can see and understand it. The truth is that we were created as beings of love and it is still in us, it's just that the world has stolen our perception of it and now we believe in all the illusions in its place. The religions tell us this but they include so many doctrines to wade through that it becomes part of the illusion too.
The story of Adam and Eve partaking of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil can be compared to the lower conscious mind rejecting the higher conscious mind and deciding to live in the illusion of a subconscious reality.
By rejecting the illusion of a subconscious dictatorship from within controlling our lives, we reveal the reality of our true nature. This true nature is the undivided clarity which our evolving consciousness seeks, in order to achieve higher frequencies of life.
When we examine our thought patterns as they arise and inspect what they are doing to our emotions,we gain an understanding of the falseness of our responses. This brings us to a shift in our awareness of who and what we really are. Then we realize that what we believed to be a subconscious part of us is great stuff for the dramas in cinema and novels but has no foundation in reality.
Don't play with it anymore. Just move on to the higher consciousness. If you feel uncomfortable and sense an old pattern trying to manipulate your emotions, don't let your thoughts aquiese to it. Rest your mind in the now of peace and quietness (with no thoughts or words) and your emotions and body will eventually follow suit. Remember, you are a conscious being and your mind is a tool which you can choose to use for living in the illusion or for uniting with your higher consciousness to live in the kingdom of God and enter right now into eternity. It is the choices we make that draws like energy to us and sets our experiences ahead of us.
The meaning behind the words of a sentence or the meaning behind a word
After we gain control of our words and feelings and emotions, we can began to focus on the actuality of what the word or sentence is describing.
Doing this activates a part of the brain we are not used to using, at least not in the third dimension world we live in.
Core sentence: "I am free of the illusions of this world"
Repeat the words for awhile in your mind; by then you should be aware of the meaning of the words and the accompanying state or feeling that arises within yourself from the word associations and definitions and images it brings into your memory.
As I concentrate on the meaning rather than the form of the sentence, I become that which I concentrate on. That concept becomes a state of being. That's why God says "I am". These are the words that create a state of being in which we can dwell.
Then let go of the words, let them dissolve and let the feeling or state of being remain that the words evoked. The energy from the meaning of the words will remain as a finer form of language. Rest quietly and allow the atmosphere relating to those qualities to manifest within you and around you . You are replacing the illusion of having an unruly divisive subconscious with a uniting of your lower and higher consciousness.
Do this with these sentences also.
I am never alone, I am loved and cared for.
I am totally and completely safe and protected at all times.
I am love therefore my relationships are warm with unconditional acceptance and love.
I am in the universal flow of prosperity and abundance
I am vibrant and exuberant health.
These things are the truth of who I really am. All else is illusion.
